It’s been quite a year at Oxygen HQ, and we’d like to share some of it with you – here are our top moments of 2014!
We’ve been all over the world – running over 13 programmes across the world, helping to create, support and accelerate over 104 startups.
We were delighted to see the investment raised by our startups surpass over £4.2million to date.
We took our pre-accelerator to Tenerife for a week.
And ran 3 other pre-accelerator programmes, supporting early stage startups at that essential make-or-break stage.
We continued our Oxygen weekends across the globe, supporting entrepreneurs on fast-paced 48 hour startup journeys and seeing some fantastic ideas come to life.
Our team grew in size, as we welcomed Anthony, Anneka and Regina to the fold.
Our 2013 Accelerator startups pitched at Demo Day in January.
We partnered with UKTI for our Spring 2014 Accelerator, and welcomed startups from across the globe to the Midlands.
We met the Queen with some of our Alumni.
We had more applications for our Autumn Accelerator than ever before, from over 63 countries.
And we welcomed 15 startups from 17 countries to the UK for our Autumn 2014 cohort, partnering again with our friends at Google Campus London.
But there’s no place like home…
…and we continued to fly the flag for Birmingham.
With Silicon Canal’s first anniversary BBQ, attracting over 200 people supporting tech startups in Greater Birmingham.
And Kath making David Cameron laugh (we’re still not sure why) at Pitch10.
Our partnership with Centro WM created 10 rather brilliant transport apps in just 48 hours.
And our winners Timely presented their live demo to EU leaders in Frankfurt.
Of course we couldn’t have done it without our fantastic partners: Rackspace, Twilio, Interoute, Domain.me, Pearson, .UK, KPMG, Seederboard, LaFosse, E-Lance, Centro, TicketFactory, Packt Publishing, Clement Keys. A huge thank you to all.
So here’s to 2015!
More exciting programmes to develop tech startups.
A return to Tenerife with our Startup Retreat – Join us!
A top-secret new present for startups.
And who knows what else.
But most of all…
We know it’s going to be AWESOME.
